I'm not a Clip Zip owner (yet), but the normal reason for missing files on a Sansa product is the USB Setting...MSC, MTP, or Autodetect. Autodetect (aka autodefect) is the default.
I'm guessing that you are a PC user, so Autodetect defaults to MTP. If the player goes to MSC when plugged into the Xbox or the stereo, then no files will be found. Try the following steps... 1) take the music off the player 2) change USB setting to MSC 3) copy music to the player 4) try the Xbox and stereo again Steve Last edited by FreeZ5; 12-09-2011 at 02:21 PM. |

As you know there's not much difference, that's why you're right ...

Hi All, just new here with abi.
I currently am having problems with my clip zip, it does not continue on to boot to main screen and just stucks up at the boot logo (flower logo) screen. I have read a lot about the hard reset (power button for 30sec), force it to go on MSC when plugging in to the pc(holding down select button when attaching to pc).. nothing seems to work. Right now, it's just plugged in to my pc and still just stuck up at the boot screen. IT was on OF before, I then installed rockboxed, then back to OF. after restoring to OF, i was still able to use it for a while before it became stuck.. any more help would be greatly appreciated, I'm here in philippines, so warranty is not my option right now. hope this can still be fixed.. oh btw, computer does not recognized it as well... |
