hi, when ever i transfer pictures on my Spinn, they always seem to appear to be blurry, the picture look fine when they are on my laptop, so i was wondering if it is anything to do with the size, please can you let me know if it is and if there is a certain pixel size that best suits the iriver Spinn

Your best bet is probably its native screen size, 480x272.

Have you tried zooming in? dfkt is right about the screen size, especially if you want to use a picture as a wallpaper, but zooming is one of the undocumented features which my son has discovered on his.

The best thing is to resize your pictures to the spinns native resolution.
There are freeware tools available for this (search for resize jpeg). The added bonus is that you can get more pictures in the spinns memory as resized pics take up far less memory. Mind the aspect ratio of pictures from a camera are mostly 2/3 or 3/4. The screen of the spinn is longer, so pictures will be streched out. If you do not like this, resize to 272 and keep the aspect ratio. When viewing, black sidebars will then be visible. |
