zen xfi2 need amp?

does zen xfi 2 sound any better with amp cuz i think it has low maximum volume and when bass boost is on its even way low so would an amp helps reccomend 1 plz for bass and higher volume

i use those that come with player ep 630 or something what do u think be better amp or new headphones got about 100$ to spend want better base and more volume im used to high volumes in my car

I've never tried the ep630s so I couldn't comment on them specifically but did read they're only 16 ohms, so your player should drive them fine without an amp. For me, I'd rather go for better headphones or IEMs than buying an amp but that's your call.

If you can find the A151s for around $47.00 or less I’d recommend them as that’s what I’m using now, I really like the clarity and speed. Also they don't need an amp, in fact an amp hurts them IMHO. If you don’t like them, look at dfkt’s list here.

My X-Fi 2 goes to eardrum-shattering volumes with the ep-630, and ep-630 has a decent amount of bass. Also, there's no such thing as "bass boost" on the X-Fi2.

I guess you just have to get used to the in-ear thing, they are used differently from earbuds and car speakers. Most important is to get the seal right; the rubber tips from the IEM should enclose your ear-canal until you get full bass-impact. Fiddle around with them and you will notice the change in sound.

Amping your setup will only result in hearing loss I'm afraid.

How true and good you mentioned it as no IEMs sound good without a proper seal and you lose most of the bass if not all.

Then I can assume three things: one - there's plenty of bass to be had from them, two - the op needs to achieve a better seal to get the bass and three - there's plenty of better IEMs to be had

lol, the cx300s were my first better IEMs and still have them today. They're still in great shape but I let my son use them all the time.

i know that ep630 bass sound good but when bassboot on the whole zen volume goes low thats what i was askin about will amp help to restore it back or i get better IEM with morebase and abit higher i like the hippo vb reviews how do u see them compared to ep630 and if i need amp for my 630 which one u suggest for 100$ iem or amp
