Aight guys, I guess I'll put this here. I'm looking to buy a decent FM transmitter that plugs into the headphone jack on my Zune. The kicker is that I don't wanna lay down 40 bucks on this thing, which is a lot of what I've been finding. My brother got one that's not terrible for around 15 a few years ago, so I'm sure they exist. Anyone got any? The couple I've found online that aren't terribly expensive have had reviews complaining about static. I'd like to do without that. Any help is really appreciated!
Oh, I just remembered to mention that it doesn't matter how the thing is powered. I can put up with batteries or ones that plug into the car. |

suburb of Chicago. I'm guessing a LOTof FM stations. Could be trouble.
I bought one in summer 2009. Worked ok from Hamilton Ontario to cottage country in my son's mini van. Remember that we had to change the channel a couple of times as we passed by Toronto. Tried it this summer in a Dodge Dakota pickup at home (near Niagara Falls and Buffalo). Couldn't find a clear channel sitting in my driveway. The shape of the dash and the length of the cord made it difficult to position the transmitter with a clear line-of-sight to the antenna. That may have made a difference. Steve |

Make sure you get one that isn't FCC approved. They usually provide stronger signal.

Little update: I found one for around 20 bucks that I may get, but I'm probably gonna make a quick run to Radioshack and Best Buy eventually and see what they've got. Here's the link, cuz while I find it highly unlikely that anyone will have had it, if someone has, feedback on performance would be appreciated. |

I have a Monster RadioPlay 300 transmitter. It's not too bad, at least better than the other ones I've seen, but I almost never use it any more, it's too much trouble.

Thanks, sergivs. I just went to Radioshack and they had that one and another one. The rep said that the other one was a POS and I shouldn't get it, but the Monster was 60 bucks there. Forget that! I'm gonna get that one that you linked to.
