As for the HD448's, the build quality is nowhere near the full retail price, but for $55.00 it's good. Really not a premium build,... As for the SQ, I'll get back to you on that - they might need an adjustment period for me to really like the sound. I really think my HD25-1 II's whip the snot out of 'em, but a little "burn in" might change my mind. Anybody wanna buy my JVC HA-M750 Black Series cans? $40 shipped & delivered,... I'll throw in an extension cable & a HP bag!!! ![]() PS: I personally think the Senn HD448 need an amp (not very loud w/my Cowon D2 - and that's got POWER!!!), and I'll be trying them with my Digiziod V1 amp tomorrow night - I got an early morning safety class @work,...

All I need from mine are to have non-slip soles and not kill my feet on a hard tile floor.....I would guess yours have to have steel toes at least, right? And I guess this time of year insulation and waterproofing would be a necessity too wouldn't they?

Steel toe, metarsal, electrical hazard protected, insulated, waterproof, nonslip soles. And, they're timberlands!

I'd be interested in hearing what you think about those HD 448 after you've had them for a while TDS. I had them and had a real WTF? moment when I first put them. Lifeless was the only way to describe them. Nonexistent bass, screechy highs and I had to really crank it up to get decent volume.
I kept them for a while and listened them in. I don't much believe in burn in so I'm not sure if it was me getting used to them or them changing but after 40 - 50 hours I got to really liking them. They weren't the bass driven headphones all the ads said but the bass rounded in nicely. Just when I really started to like them I got them caught in a door and wrecked them. I had spent the extra $10 for the damage warranty but when I went to get another pair but they were out of stock. I got the HD 428 instead. Same story, just dead at first and they woke up after 40 hours or so. The HD 428 will never have the thump my AKG K81DJ's do but what they have is nice. They make a nice change of pace and they're a lot more comfortable. They do seem to need a strong source so I'd be real interested in what the Digiziod does with them.

Yeah, I didn't like the 428 with my clip but loved it with my j3. ZO would do wonders for it

Well, I didn't like the hd448's at all, and I had no plan on doing any real burn in with them. I was just joking on that one. They really did sound lifeless & dull. Even if they get some burn in time, they'll never equal my hd25-1 II's , or even my Sony mdr-v900's. They had to go!!!
Now, the akg k81dj's, those are worth more than what I paid for them, and (IMO) they sound much better than the lifeless, flat, baseless, boring hd448's ever could. Even my digizoid zo couldn't save 'em.
