Soundwise, with no EQ, they are equal, yes. But the battery life, on the other hand, is not equal.

That, my friend, is THE truth!!! With RB the clip+ runs a decent amount of time, the clipzip,...meh!!!

Yeah, but a battery pad for 25€ (including decent accus) would crank up both players to a decent runtime. I got a good deal on some Sennheiser IE7s yesterday, so thats what they'll run on.

The bigger display can be VERY convenient when dealing with several thousands of songs, browsing by folder. I'll propably end up using lossy formatting anyways as re-ripping the collection would be a pain, so no immediate need for an SD-card either. I read up a bit, the internal battery of the ClipZip is a bit bigger than that of the original clip+, but so far it's eight hours tops.
