Clip + died

My clip+ died. It was playing and quit. I didn't have it locked but I never do. Anyway I hope to find my receipts to get a refund. I have'nt the faintest idea why it just up and quit, I plugged it into the puter and nothing, screen off and it's like it's permanantly off. Anyway since I still don't know what to get for a permanent player so I went to the sandisk site and ordered a Zip with that neat carrying case. Normally I'd give up on Clips but from all the threads on here I assume my situation is unusual. If anyone has had any similar experiences and figured out a fix, let me know as I can always give the plus away or keep it for backup.

Try leaving it plugged in for a while.....I had a player once I thought was bricked and a couple of days later I plugged it in for a while and eventually it came to life. No guarantees it will work for you but it's worth a try.

When it went off did you try to reset the player by pressing the power button and hold it for approximately 15 seconds? Also what marvin said, I left one of mine alone for a few hours and was able to connect to replace fw & rb later.

Thanks Walkgood. Held the power button and it came back on with a message to resynch with Rhapsody. Anyway it works. The bad news is I ordered the Zip already, the good news is I'm getting a Zip. Once I get the Zip in the mail I have a friend who might buy the plus off of me.Also I appreciate your reply Marvin, I had it on the charger all night and all day while I was at work. Who knows? It might've helped.

I'm considering that, money's not tight but don't know if leaving a player unused too long is a good idea. Besides if I decide to have two players, should have one with more features and keep the clip for riding. Still considering Ipod Touch, but by the time I make up my mind maybe Sandisk will replace or fix the Fuze+.I really want a player like the Nano a couple of years ago, the one with a camera. If Sandisk comes out with something like that to replace the fuze +, that'd be great. I could be wrong but I think new Clips come out in the fall and the Fuze+ came out in the spring so maybe my wait won't be long to see what Sandisk does.
