Clip+ Static noise and fading screen

So my clip+ recently started giving me problems ive had it for about 9 months now and it just recently started acting up. At certain parts of some songs I hear and annoying static noise which didn't happen before. Also my screen will turn off while I'm performing an action and it wont come back up no matter what i press. Anyone know what i could do? Should i try upgrading to rockbox or is it time for a new clip?

Sounds like the firmware in your player is probably corrupted. Download the latest version of the firmware and manually install it on the player.

If what JK98 doesn't fix it, you are still under warranty so you can initiate a RMA.

Generally, the proof of purchase (receipt), although this sometimes has slipped through.
