Red face Trying to Find a Player that plays games

So I am trying to get an mp3 player that plays games/can download games onto. It for my kids mainly and they don't care much for any other features (and they really just want to play angry birds) so as long as it plays music and games they'll be happy. Any suggestions that don't cost more than $100 out there? Thanks

What games are available from Rockbox?

A Sansa Clip or Clip+ or Fuze might do.

Kids will have no use for the games in RB, as those are just to prove what RB is capable of. The games are nothing to write home about. Example: DOOM on my Sansa clip+,...really!?!?!? Besides, we ARE talking kids here - Rockbox isn't the end all & be all for everyone.

Look for an older generation iPod touch - then look for games for it. As for the sub $100 price point, I doubt you'll find any players that can do that and play DECENT games - for kids OR adults.

Yea, an old used or refurbished iPod Touch is your best bet. I skipped over the RB stuff because I assumed the OP was talking about iPod Touch style games...

Or a used Creative Touch-2, or a used Latte Ice Smart, or a used 1st (or 2nd) gen iPod Touch. Or even someone's abandoned android phone. My wife has an iPhone she abandoned that still works fine using WiFi for downloading games and such.

I like the idea of an older iPhone or Android phone. The iPhone and iPod touch are better in quality of games though.
