microUSB you will find in allUSA Kindle e-book reader.Kindle supplies very nice,small but powerfull charger,one reason more to buy Kindle.
It is very nice to read, listening to good music same time.I am sure,that Sansa people had this on their minds,when they decided to adopt microUSB.
anyway - it is standard in all EU countries.It fits all mobiles there.
Too short USB cable???? buy longer one if you need,it is not easy to find short one.
Tiny and light SansaClip demands light and short cable.
Do not complain about internal memory size - you have slot for memory card,it works up to 32G!!32G? is not enough?and it is integrated.
One thing is missing in your review Mr.Martin:
what has happened to.....SlotRadio?nobody is crying?will it work on ClipZip?
personally - I find it usefull,I give Clip+ with SlotRadio cards as birthday gift to friends,who are not technologically smart,so they can enjoy music on go.

Thanks for the review, Marvin! Even if I'm personally disappointed in the Zip's screen resolution, top capacity, and -- to a lesser extent -- battery life, it's nice to see SanDisk recovering from the misstep that was the Fuze+.

Also is the battery replaceable like my old Sansa e270?

Well, there are a lot of us that have well more than 32 or even 40GB of music. And then there are the people that insist on FLAC files on their players, which take up a lot of space.

That's a good point. Yes, SlotRadio and SlotMusic cards work just fine in this new player, I just didn't mention them because I've never used one.

Yes, the color of mine is officially titled "Gunmetal Grey". Maybe having it on the reddish-brown railings of my deck threw off Limp's perception? Or it could be my AT headphones...they kinda look brown with silver specks in the finish.

No touch sensor buttons here....all tactile clicking buttons. No replaceable battery though.

Personally, for me if I had ONE complaint about the clip+ it was no album art/nice display screen. This was a logical step for the clip series, at least that's the way I see it. Can't wait till I can get one. Now I have a month to decide on which colour/model to buy xD.
