Zune HD 16Gb error code 43?

hi there when i plug my Zune HD into laptop win 7 ultimate 32 bit, i get this error code 43 under device manager. i dont know what to do. this dam zune just does not wana play fair now. so can someoen plz help.

I would first uninstall/reinstall the Zune device driver just to rule that out. But I can't read what it says on your Zune though, so it could be an error with the firmware. What does it say?

Letting us know what's on the device is good.

In device manager, delete the device, uninstall drivers, the whole shebang. Then uninstall the Zune Software and reinstall. That should essentially make your system be like new as far as Zune is concerned.

The OP could also try using a driver cleaner to clean out any last remnants of the old drivers, but that might be overkill for this.

I'm not the least bit technical, but figured I'd throw this out there.

I see you're using a laptop in the picture...have you tried to connect it to any other PC? Also, are you using a USB Hub or anything?

Long story short, I had an older External HD that stopped working for no apparent reason. I have a Desktop PC and it worked fine on others, but not mine. Turns out, I was plugging it into the USBs on the front which were actually some sort of hub, and when I plugged it into the back, it worked fine.

They told me plugging a USB 1.0 device into a USB 2.0 (or I suppose 3.0 now) hub can cause problems.

So if you have a Belkin 4-1 USB dongle thingie, that might be an issue.

Of course, if that's the case, I'm sure you've tried plugging it in directly before posting here, but doesn't hurt to throw out my silly little idea

on the zune device it says to connect to pc to install firmware. also tryed with another laptop as we dont have a desktop here and both laptops are win 7. i know the cord works cause i went to bestbuy and pluged it into there zune hd 32 gb and it installed properly butt this zune just wont. install and the device manager wont let me install the drivers i want it keeps useing the microsoft drivers. also my zune software wont install ever sence i used unzone software to remove it ohers said that worked. so when i try installing zune i get error failed to install zune package. as far as i know there is noting on the zune device as it has been reformated butt the zune software wont setect it. and nither will the pc.

ok so i installed windows xp and now i have zune 4.8 installed. butt under device manager it says

"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)
To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer.
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device."

butt yet it is pluged into pc also i cant seem to get drivers to install from

C:/Program files/zune/Drivers location. any help thx. also under the program zune devices under tab folder it says im missing these files
