My J3 is coming in the mail and I'm excited! I have some basic questions,
1. Are kizune uci's compatible with firmware x.26? 2. Does it matter whether I upgrade firmware first or format drive first? 3. Can wallpaper be applied almost everywhere/every screen? 4. Is there quick access to real-time eq/jet while a song is playing? 5. Is it easy to set up "Play all/Shuffle mode"? Thanks! |

Yes.

There's really no reason to retain the Cowon-provided demo pictures, video, etc.. Formatting will cause the J3 to re-create all standard system folders/files at the next power-on, and now you're in business with essentially a true factory setup that's 100% available for your own files. Quote:

But the Cowon implementation of ALL has a different result depending on whether you're doing a "folder browse" or a "tags browse". So if you want to either play randomly/sequentially through ALL folders then you must be in "folder browse" mode, and that limits the playlist to either internal storage or external storage. But you WILL truly see ALL files being accessed, through ALL folders on that storage class. In contrast, if you come in through "tags browse" (e.g. using [Songs], to access all songs on both internal and external storage), well now ALL will truly access all of your music, on both internal and external storage. However the single large [Songs] playlist consists of the songs as defined in the "title" tag field of each file. If a music file is missing its "title" tag field, then that music file will NOT appear in [Songs] and thus will not be part of the ALL process. Also, using [Songs] and ALL there are no "folder boundaries" for sequential processing, so it's purely alphabetical... or random if you have "shuffle" set. There's no way to pass through all tracks for an album, and then move on to all tracks of the next album... if that's what you want. Only "folder browse" provides that feature. Anyway, it's easy to configure and re-configure as you want. |
