For those of you who, like me, were bummed that the clix required WMP10/11 and WinXP SP1/SP2, I've discovered a solution that (sorta) works. I'll post a detailed set of instructions later, if there's any interest, but suffice to say the secret to supporting this and other PlaysForSure (MTP-only, no MSC) devices on Win98SE/ME and on Win2000 is in the freely redistributable "down-level driver" and associated files contained in the downloadable "MTP Porting Kit" subset of the WindowsMedia SDK from Microsoft. Follow the clear instructions and voila! WMP9 recognizes the device and can copy (unprotected) Music files to it!
More to come, assuming this hasn't already been posted (just thought of that).
