Default Looking for a new PMP!

Hi

I want to replace my iPod touch because the battery just sucks (i have had 2 ipods, the battery ALWAYS sucks) and the sound quality isn't that great. I was looking for something that has better sound than the ipod, wi-fi, and a big screen for videos, games... and i limit my decision (as well my pocket) to:

- Zune HD
- Samsung Galaxy (not the phone)
- or iPod touch 4

(this is the samsung: http://revolucionandroid.com/wp-cont...ayer_45_l.jpeg)

I've chose that three because they cost almost the same (except for the ipod...) i don't know if exist another player with similar specs.

I hope someone could help me (sorry if my english is bad, is not my principal language)

For serious wifi usage, exclude the Zune HD out of this. The Samsung Galaxy would suit your needs quite well if you're used to the ipod touch.

I've owned a Zune HD before and I can honestly say that the web browser is as basic as basic can ever get,its very outdated compared to the Samsung Galaxy and the iPod Touch.

Why not just get an extended battery case for the iPod touch? Better option IMO,... http://www.google.com/m/products?oe=...6&ved=0CBQQzQM

I have consider them, but makes the ipod really big...

so now i'm between the Samsung and the ipod or a cowon, but i've searched and none of them have a browser (the D3 is the only one, but is expensive)

Thanks for the replies !

The Touch 4G battery life is decent unless you're playing games with the screen brightness and speaker sound turned up.

I don't browse the web very much with mine, but I use the wifi for streaming sometimes.....but if I do that, I shut off hte screen. The Cowon D3 with wifi and Android is known for bad battery life too....don't know about the new Samsung or the Archos 43 though.

Something good about the Samsung is that it has removable battery, but the ipod doesn't.
Well, I think i'm going to buy the Samsung since it's cheaper than the iPod and has some great things as well.

I did find out the battery was improved for the 4th Gen compared to the previous models of the Touch....
Quote:
Power 3.7 V rechargeable Lithium-ion battery
1st generation:
Audio – 22 hours, Video – 5 hours
2nd generation:
2.92 Wh, 789 mAh; Audio – 36 hours, Video – 6 hours
3rd generation:
2.92 Wh, 789 mAh;[1] Audio – 30 hours, Video – 6 hours
4th generation:

3.44 Wh, 930 mAh; Audio – 40 hours, Video – 7 hours[2][3]
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPod_Touch
Of course, how big a difference it will make will vary with different people's usage patterns. Good luck with the Samsung!
