Speaker Recommendations?

Im hoping one of you guys might be able to help, basically im wanting a nice speaker set up for my small room that enables me to play my MP3 player (When i eventually get one). I've looked all over but they only seem to do docking stations made for IPod? Which really irritates me.
My room is really small with not alot of space so it needs to be something nice and compact but good sounding.

You could also look at portable systems and connect your DAP via AUX-in, there's a lot of them on the market. I own the JVC Kaboom and connect via HP out on DAP via a 3.5mm male to male cable. The Kaboom is a little pricey but it fits my needs, although there's many others available. You can see pictures of my rig here or here in outdoor use.
