I don't see it listed on the SAMSUNG UK site but it is for sale on AMAZON UK site since the 23rd of August.
It is listed as

Samsung YP-R2 4GB R2 Toledo MP3 HD Player
or
Samsung YP-R2 8GB R2 Toledo MP3 HD Player

4GB Price £79.99
8GB Price £99.99

Comes in a choice of either Black or Silver.

No mention of a 16GB player.

Just working my way through the manual at the moment (thanks to Lebellium for that) to compare it to my YP-R1.

Good find!
But it's written "Usually dispatched within 1 to 3 months"

It won't be available in France (the Product Manager told me no reseller is interested in...) so I won't get one for free. I'm still thinking whether I should buy one or not.
Actually I don't like the screen definition and the small memory capacity.

Unfortunately there is no microSD slot. As regards gapless I have to ask Samsung. Cross my fingers.

Nothing new and really interesting.

Sorry, but your dl-link just leads to a 168byte file that can't really be opened. What worked for me was http://www.samsung.com/sec/consumer/...&menu=download

And if i compare that with the known infos and R1 manual i get the following:

+ New/Changed: MP3HD, 40h Playback, micro USB, Sound Alive (instead DNS), Music Square, 24h clock
- Missing: TV-Out, Bluetooth, Flash-Player, games, Datacasts, Adressbook, (Still) CardSlot, FM Receiver bit worse quality, bigger display but same res.

So it seems to be more music related than anything else
