0.o it's nothing. It's a cross-platform security update for 7 websites.

I wonder if it's related to the email app, for security reasons of course. I saw that login.live.com, and mail.google.com were included. Other than that I didn't notice any changes.

Worst part: I forgot my Zune HD & Digiziod @work (locked up safe & sound), and I wanted to lay down and enjoy some tunes. I had a really rough day at work, I was looking forward to this when I got home. I guess I'll pop a few new albums on the clip+ and just go enjoy. Not quite the same "oomph" but it'll do till tomorrow.

As for the update, I haven't even been able to get the web browser to work correctly connecting to my network, so I really don't give a poop. This is a media playing device, remember!!!

Ouch. That sucks. I've done similarly many times... Every time I take my HD someplace, I wind up regretting it because I don't like carrying things around with me, but when I don't, I always wind up sitting around twiddling my thumbs for half an hour!

What a coincidence, I actually just wiped mine literally a half hour ago because that happened to me... Let me save you some trouble: the only thing that fixes it is completely restarting it (and I don't know why, but instead of just holding the media and home buttons, I also had to hold the power button to get it to work. Go figure...). Pain in the A$$ to have to reload all my music, but hey, whatever. I actually use the wifi for a lot of things. Doesn't sound like it's a big issue to you...

No biggie to me at all, since I have my phone w/unlimited 3G. And I have a google chrome notebook, and I can borrow my Sis-in-law's iPad 2 if I really need immidiate internet access.

I just wish it was easier to connect,...but I'm not gonna wipe it to get the net working. Really, music & an occasional video, or some radio, is good enough for me. And w/the Digizoid the bass is BOOMING on it.

Mmhmm. Makes sense to me. Oh, that reminds me. I wasn't able to connect to my PC anymore... So, just a heads up. Your case may be entirely different. I hope it is, for your sake.

That's because it wasn't really an update... The ZuneHD was merely included in a broad update for a whole bunch if different stuff. It's not like we got a new number on our FW version. It's still 4.5 and they didn't try to bring any features. I'm not unhappy, I suppose, really just kinda surprised that people are treating this like a major update. Front page worthy? Probably not. Kinda wondering about that move, but meh. Good publicity I suppose.

Haha and similar to Confispect, this is my sleep-deprived ramblings...

Well then they should've called it 3.51 or something like that. Not that I really care, I sold my Zune.

What's it matter? It isn't something on the device. They changed the certificates that they award to some sites, and one of the devices that benefits from this updated security is the ZuneHD. The title is misleading. Very misleading. You never have to install anything or update anything.

In the Zune PC client it said an update for the Zune HD was available,...that sounds like an "update" to me.

Glad I got rid of the Z:HD 64gb yesterday,...Samsung is getting my $$$ now!!!

Yea, I used to be a big supporter of Zune, but tbh I wouldn't really recommend it to anyone unless Zune Pass was something they really liked. It never really reached its full potential.
