Hmm... well Zen Touch 2 has a GPS version and the Archos 5 has it as well.

The samsung galaxy player series is suppose to able to do GPS. Thou slower then a phone... but right now we are waiting for a North American release date...

Nothing wrong with buying a smartphone and not activating it. When my AT&T service is up and I switch to Verizon I'll continue to use my HTC for music, internet and email (via wi-fi), especially as a back up if my Touch ever dies or I lose it.

That Galaxy S would be an awesome DAP/PMP especially if you install voodoo.

^I agree^, since I'll use my iPhone as an mp3, video, and game playing device once I get something else. There's no shame to it, especially since the amount of good media playing devices is being channeled into the portable phone market nowadays.
