Default Rockbox "bass" boost frequency graph?

Is there a graph out there that shows which frequencies are boosted (or decreased) by the rockbox "bass" modifier? Not the equalizer, just the bass option in the sound settings menu.

I *think* its hardware dependent, since if there's any built in bass or treble adjustment, thats used. If there's no hardware for doing that, then it uses the EQ with a cutoff around 1600Hz (I think).

If you need precise control, I would just use the EQ. Its more flexible then hardware, and on most targets fast enough that there shouldn't be a noticeable difference in battery life.

Thanks for the response. Perhaps I'll play around with the EQ then. I'll admit to being lazy and just using the bass boost since getting my PFE. Heh, maybe I'll be able to provide more boost that way. With the hardware boost I can get 10db before the PFE distorts.

Also, do you happen to know if the hardware boost is also easy on the battery life, or is it more draining relative to the EQ?

All that being said, I'll probably have to get a new clip soon. The battery on my old one isn't as robust as it once was, and I only get around 10 hours at the moment.

Assuming you have a clip, theres no hardware bass adjustment.

Played around a bit. Currently using low shelf 120Hz +8db, 200Hz +4db. Let's see if I can't refine that a bit without distorting.
