Trimming Down Rockbox

I just Rockboxed my sansa clip+ for the first time.

I find it nice that it has a lot of features and stuff. But I don't see me using all of it. I want rockbox mainly for the longer battery life and would like to make it similar to the OF.

I would like to make the main menu look like this:

> Music (rename database to music)
> Radio
> Recording
> Settings

I'd like to remove the Plugins and Files and integrate the System and Playlist with Settings.

Is it possible to do these things?, I know it would require to recompile rockbox, if it's possible any advise on how to do it would be great

The main menu is in apps/root_menu.c, settings are in apps/settings_list.c. Not sure how easy it would be to merge things, but deleting them is easy enough. The names of things (e.g. 'database') are in apps/lang/english.lang (or whatever language you prefer).
