Help Email app trouble

Just tried using the email app with my gmail account and it won't download any of my emails and I can't send any either. Anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be welcome.

First thing to try is a hard reset (hold the power button for fifteen seconds), though I doubt it'll help. Worth a shot.

Second thing to do would be delete and redownload it. That's your best bet.

If none of that works, I'd check your network. There could be something blocking it.

Other than that, I can't help you. Good luck.

I was using the App last night and my Hotmail account was working fine, but my gmail one wouldn't load...so maybe it was something with Google.

I know that every time I log on, my hotmail syncs within a few seconds and it takes a couple minutes for google. That seems to be the norm...but last night I couldn't get it to work at all (though signing onto m.gmail.com worked fine).

LittleDaveJ, i had the same thing happen, I'll have to check my account to see if I changed something. steinburger1109, I think you mean soft reset, I think a hard reset resets the firmware, which probably isn't necessary here.

You might want to check you gmail account, to make sure some crazy setting isn't stopping you.

Meh. As far as I know, there isn't any specific words for it. Anyway, I've noticed that if you do the "soft reset" it clears everything better than if you just turn it off and restart it. At least, it clears the cache. I don't know if that will have any effect on an app that runs through the wireless, but worth a shot, I figured.
