S-o-o-o-o-o, I take it Zenses and Absolutley Zen are two different projects? With different functions/features or will there be an overlap of these?

2 different projects yes. As far as I know Absolutely Zen focus more on an alternative of the Creative's sync manager with a lot of features more.

Yup... 2 different projects.
I want to create a fairly lightweight but incredibly useful set of tools/utilities for the ZVM, I think Absolutely Zen is intended to be a fully fledged media manager.

Zenses is available now at http://www.zenses.org/forum. Currently only has last.fm scrobbling support, but more features are being added all of the time.

the zenses thing f'ed up my player. it made it freeze after seeing the music i had on it.

How do you mean freeze?
I lately have this problem that it freezes when I'm skipping a song or browsing and choosing another song.

Loading the tracks/artists
After clicking next (above) all of the tracks are loaded into Zenses so that play counts can be worked out, recently added files can be found, etc.



Viewing Recently added files
Once all of the tracks have been processed by Zenses, you'll be taken to the main screen where you can use the main Zenses functionality. Shown below is a list of recently added tracks, but you'll also be able to view charts, last.fm details, etc.



Let me know what you think. Interface is obviously subject to changes, but this should give you a good idea of where I'm headed with Zenses.

As I understand it, the Zenses project had been cancelled. This is not to be confused with Eddie's Absolutely Zen project, which is still very much alive and ongoing.

Since Zenses is no more, I'm closing this thread.
To the Zenses project owner: If Zenses is still alive, please notify me by PM and I'll re-open this thread.

I don't understand what last.fm does. I know it has something to do with streaming audio. So what is Zenses purpose? last.fm on the mp3 player? I am really lost and find it dificult to understand this thread.

PS: I already read the thread that talks about what zenses is.

If someone can explain it in a simple way I would apreciate it

zenses is software that tracks what you listen to on your dap, so you can upload to last.fm and share your likes with online friends

Yeah I should probably have a stickied thread explaining last.fm and Zenses.

Just to clear things up for future readers this particular thread is ancient (and was originally in the Absolutely Zen forum) so everyone replying knew what Last.fm/Zenses was. The guy who developed Zenses was getting ready to launch the app and eventually wanted to integrate it into Absolutely Zen.

I renamed the thread. It's quite old and not up to date.

Just download Zenses and try it out. No installer, just an EXE to start. It does one thing, and one thing only at the moment - reading tracks from your MTP player and transferring them to last.fm.
