7mb levels isn't problem for me. I have player with smallest memory sold (8 gb) and i can make plenty of space. How big will be whole game with this buffed up levels?

It is hard to say since we only have 1 level compiled ( the generator is still in progress), but a rought estimate would be 170.1mb with only the campaign ( 21 levels). We also will be supporting custom levelsets, so this will get a bit space greedy .

However, some um.... very interesting problems have arrived:
1. If you do not tap the screen every few seconds during repair mode, the file will become completely corrupted, even by windows standards.
2. A bug has occurred that is only present on the player ( we have found lots of differences, but none like this) where the game will crash when attempting to assign a value to a index in a table.

We have taken down the download option from sourceforge until v1.0 is complete. We are just waiting on the generator to begin using textures, then fix the basher ability.

ah ok. because i have it on my mp3 but the pingu spaz out when they are walking lol. it randomly makes them look like they fall and it just quits randomly sometimes.

I don't think that it really matters if the game is around 7mb, if it is well constructed and it doesnt' bug...

The game is not 7mb, each level is.


We may be releasing a v0.9 soon if we can fix a generator bug. There are two known bugs in the lua code:

1. The basher effect will deteriorate, each time a penguin uses their tunnel, the tunnel slowly lowers.

2. If you attempt to recover a level corruption on the player, it will crash unless you constantly move your finger across the screen.

The bugs that are listed are in our development version not the beta release. As for the "spaz out" issue, that is with out collision detection. They are in fact falling, but only one or two pixels, so they change from falling to moving quickly. We may be able to fix this issue in v1.0 along with a couple other bugs.

Version 0.9 video released, check the main post. We are currently preparing our code to be ready for v0.9. There will still be some bugs in this version, but it will be stable and have alot more features then the previous release.

I can't download the Java runtime environment
Does anyone have an idea for me how I can play this game? Want it does really look great...

Do you mean the installer is failing, or manually downloading java fails?

I got a messege: download failed: timed out on connecting. This is at the moment it's downloading Java Runtime Environment. I've attached the screen I see.

I can open the game, but if I want to start playing, it's shutting down. Really anoying...

I hope you know what I have to do

I don't know why but when I download the installer and run it, it says that it can't download java runtime environment, because it is too long. Can you help me?

Sorry for the inconvenience, the updater was an older version and it seems we forgot that Java has added a requirement for user-license agreement prior to downloading it We will fix this problem as soon as possible.

Bugs fixed. Please re-download the installer or archive and re-install it. We forgot some rather ..... important files, almost all the levels Please note that the basher is still severely bugged (seeing how we have not yet reached v1.0). Once a penguin that was a basher exits the map (either by dying or the exit), all effects that penguin did to the map from bashing will be erased, so simply re-bash the areas if need-be.
