The level editor is the actual Pingus game ( for pc), download it and run and the level editor will be at the menu, then you use our level generator to convert it, and then you can play it.

I have updated the video in the first post of our current progress. Most of the engine is done, all that is left is the builder, some optimizations, custom levels, and bugs here and there ( very few)

That sux. They are probably concentrating their resources on new products development and stopped supporting lua api since competition. There is no lua on newer players
. So i presume that, there weren't considerable sales because of this capability of X-Fi2.

We have managed to speed up our hill engine around 4x (this is based off of old timings we took), at the cost of twice the loading time. So we can now handle more then 5 penguins

If we do not find the functions we need to allow textures then we will use solid colors, remove most of the lag, minimizing for loops if not removing them and eliminating many math calculations. ( We tested this and we doubled the max number of penguins, so now 12 is the limit instead of 5 )

The beta should be released withing a couple of days ( some unseen problems have come, but none to serious). Also make sure you have at LEAST 242 MB avaible on your zen, because currently that is how big Pingus X-Fi2 is.

We are adding music support to Pingus, and so far it is going fairly well. It seems like making Wavecrave was not a waste after all
, However, it has yet again become impossible to debug on the player ( pingus is causing data corruption, random crashing ect, however this is because of my player and my player alone. We are just maxing out the player so much that my player's faulty hardware cant handle it)

After heavily modding the loading, we have gotten music to load ( we have eliminated at least 2.5mb of unneeded resources/ converting them )
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Music will not be available in beta, seeing how much time it is taking to complete, we just need to fix up the miner, add a couple of entries to the generator and then make the levels, and the beta will be released.

We somehow managed to cause a large lag starting at 3 penguins, we have no idea where this lag is coming from, we have isolated everything, optimized and the lag still persists.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The lag is at the core of the engine, it is from us reading large strings from our collision map, we have a three point theory that should remove this lag. The three point theory is that we only check 3 points for falling/hills and it should server as a fairly accurate collision system while being fast.
