you mean the bar at the bottom of the screan?
Swipe down to hide it and swipe back up to show it again.

Sorry for my absence, I forgot to update my stuff here. :/

Anyway, I have released another update:

Lynx v1.1.10

- Replaced icons with improved icon pack Ilves V2
- If there are new notifications, you can now tap the speech bubble icon in the system tray to open the notification center

Download

The icons in v1.1.9 looked very blurry on bright wallpapers, so I updated the again. Also, the corners are more rounded and look better now.

How to configure: Wallpaper Changer PlugIn

Wallpapers have to be put into 'System/Flash UI/Chakra/PlugIns/res__wallpaper_changer.swf/' and can be JPG or PNG files.

Open XML file 'wallpapers.xml' in
'System/Flash UI/Chakra/PlugIns/res__wallpaper_changer.swf/' and add between <wallpapers>...</wallpapers> for each wallpaper the following line:

-----
<wallpaper file="filename" />
-----

In order to assign a wallpaper to a certain desktop, just add the attribute 'desktop="N"' to the wallpaper's entry you want to assign to a certain desktop. N is the number of the desktop.
Please note that this
only works if the Wallpaper Changer Mode is configured to change the wallpaper when you go to another desktop.

Example file:

-----
<?xml version='1.0' encoding='utf-8'?>
<wallpapers>
<wallpaper file="download.jpg" desktop="3" />
<wallpaper file="fgd4r346.jpg" />
<wallpaper file="Find_your_way_1280 x 960.jpg" desktop="1" />
</wallpapers>

-----
Okay, I'm a little dense, admittedly, but I don't have a Chakra folder/directory in the Lynx path. Am I missing something?

ok... how can i put it that i don't feel like a total ass?

maybe i begin with something positive.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE "THE LYNX", IT'S JUST AWESOME!!!

(and your work is greatly appreciated, Kizune, you're doing a great job of keeping the Cowon community alive, imho)

now comes my but():

but it's kinda sluggish...duck. is there any way to make it more responsive...(btw, the new icons are great, more defined and stuff)?

example, when i'm in a menu like the music uci it takes a few secs (black screen) till the main menu is fully loaded again... it's not that i'm impatient but it's a little annoying.

and btw i can't stand the stock uci, and i really think Cowon should hire you because you can do it much much better.

again great job (especially bringing new features to the UCIs is much appreciated)

oh one request, is it possible for you to change the file/music browser to lynx aesthetics: it's the one thing that always reminds me of my J3's troubled past and i fear for its mental health (schizophrenia).

dzjc:

Settings > PlugIns > Wallpaper Changer

deadohiosky:

"example, when i'm in a menu like the music uci it takes a few secs (black screen) till the main menu is fully loaded again... it's not that i'm impatient but it's a little annoying."

You are impatient, otherwise it wouldn't bother you.
Anyway, I can't change how long the UI takes to load.

"oh one request, is it possible for you to change the file/music browser to lynx aesthetics: it's the one thing that always reminds me of my J3's troubled past and i fear for its mental health (schizophrenia)."

I'm going to replace the whole UI of the player. The next items in my to-do list is the radio mode, then video, and then probably the browser.

So the wallpaper changes when you move from desktop to desktop, or only at a certain interval?

Kizune, when I upgrade to your latest version, do I need just the latest .swf files?

The archive contains all files, so you don't need any of the ones from previous versions.

I was thinking in terms of the xml files that I've edited, or other custom icons and things.

Ah, I see. Just make a backup of your edited XML files, and when you have installed the update, overwrite the default XML files with your edited ones.
Custom icons (the pictures in ../Lynx/Custom Icons/), plugins and widgets will be still there after the update, so there's no need to back them up.
