Need a successor for my super.fi 5 EB

Hi Guys,

just searched the Forums but i can't find the answer to my question

Most of the Time i use my UE super.fi 5 EB IEMs, i love their absoulte powerfull bass and lows, i listen to Rap mainly.

But i use them for about 3 Years now an think about a successor with a comparibly strong bass and lows.

• Price Range: up to 200€/290$
• Type/Design: in-ears is a must
• Closed Style
• Primary location of use: Mostly on the go
• Preferable SQ or Sound Signature: Like the super.fi 5 EB or better
• Media: Mostly Rap, RnB
• Source: Cowon J3

I think hippo VB is one of the kings when we talk about bass, and they are far below your price target < $100.
But I'm not an expert

Indeed, the VB are an upgrade to the 5EB in pretty much every aspect.

These things are so small, and the super.fi 5EB are monsters compred to them.
Are the Hippo's Dual-Driver IEMs too?

They're not dual drive, they're dynamic.
I bought mines at jaben.net, they send worldwide for free (i think).

So if they're dynamic do they deliver powerfull highs and mids even tough the played song has a very powerful bassline?

If you’re looking for very good deep bass at a very low price you might want to check out the MEE M31s ($42 to $45 in the US), they have very good strong bass, warm mids and clear/detailed highs with a decent sparkle. Review here and AFAIK you can find them via amazon UK over there.

they are basically ona constant back order. just put in your order and mark your place in line. There are several reviews here and on head-fi regarding the sound of the VBs.
