Recommendations for Android based PMPs

Hi all,

I'm new here and I need you guys to help me to recommend me some of the Android based PMPs currently or upcoming into the market.

Basically and most importantly I need it to be non-camera version and with a good voice recording function.

Only one I know of is the Cowon D3. Archos and Creative versions have cameras. As for voice recording it'll depend on the app used, and there are several to choose from.

If you could live with the camera, then I'd go for an Archos (I avoid Creatives).

But yeah, if you really really don't want the camera, the D3 is all I know of.

In addition to the D3, the Archos 28 and 32 lack a camera. Sadly they only come in 4 and 8GB.

The gen8 Archos 32 does have a camera.

Oh thats right. Just a rear facing camera. Forgot about it though So yeah the 28 would be the only camera-less option from Archos.

The interface is busy when the D3 boots up. It takes a couple of minutes for it to scan for new media and take care of housekeeping. Once it is done though the UI can react better and with the latest firmware is as zippy as that on my Archos gen8 devices. It comes with a task manager, and it pays to close down any apps that want to self load. I've added several programs to mine, and 11 of them now want to start up for some reason when my D3 starts up. I'm guessing to check in with their internet info sources.
