Hi everyone... didn't want to post this in MP3 players because, well, this is about CD players.
I used to have an Aiwa portable CD player in a time before I payed any attention to audio quality. Years passed by and I got my first MP3 players. Someday I realized my Aiwa CD player was abandoned in a drawer and, as I *thought* I would never need it again, I gave it away to some charity institution. REGRET. For some time now, specially since I bought the HD555 I totally hear the difference between bitrates, players and headphones and I wish I had that old player even if that meant carrying CD cases around. Any advice on good portable CD players as of today? I don't have any idea on how they could cost. I've seen some models on amazon... with very poor reviews lol. Thanks! |

I always like the Sony ones, they were cheap and sounded good.

Why not just rip your CDs into some sort of lossless file format your device can use?

There're still many advanced portable cd players can be selected.
According to sound quality: SONY D555 D10 D15 D25 D303 D35 DENON DCP-150 100 (150 maybe the best among all these players) JVC xr-p70 PHILIPS CD10 CD10MKII CD15 CD207 AZ6808/6819 KENWOOD DPC-R7 DPC-92 TOSHIBA XR-P20 AIWA DX-P50 Any one of them can satisfy your ears. |

to add to the good list of portable cd players made by kaosun - sony d 99 (being on offer on ebay right now , underrated and very good machine) , sony d 335, sony d 465/475, sony d 211 ( this one is quite hard to get, has excellent headphone out), sony d e900/905, sony d 180k/800k (good line out) and even sony d 202 (good line out). to get the best sound from these players through line out you will need portable (pocket) amplifier. you will also need patience on getting them through ebay or other auction sites, but the reward in sound quality is worth it very much. all these machines are much better than anything that is being sold as pcdp these days. i will also add philips az 68xx series, that is philips az 6808, az 6844, az6850 az 6892 etc.
