Let's hope the price is right (under $150 for the 16GB model). I was thinking of getting a Clip+, seeing as the 8GB model is 30 pounds on Amazon UK, but I might just wait and see how much this one is.

IMO its not that bad of a player. Sometimes I wish they still sold the D2+ for a reasonable price....my good ol' Fuze is starting to feel old now .....

I may consider replacing my Fuze with it....if the price wasn't that high.

I like the D2+ very much, and it's a shame there are no 16GB models on sale in reasonable prices (the only ones I found were 8GB models costing more than $220 (!) on Ebay) but it's kind of ridiculous that Cowon is charging $150 dollars (assuming the prices Mr. Popo posted are correct for the USA) for basically a 4-year old player. My only hope is that a Rockbox port will be easier this time around (now that they have AA fonts and kinetic scrolling ).

Ridiculous? Thats really cheap if you think about it, like you said you'd be hard pressed to find that good a deal on a used D2

Well, for some of us, it could be the D2+ that we never bought. I have a ragged story. Finally, found a D2+ refurb for a decent price, but had to send it back because the vol. was busted. That was disappointing. Then I had a Samsung Q3 ($54) which I loved then left in Costa Rica. I can't find another of these for less than $80 in the states and that's just too steep for a 4GB player.

So I'm kind of stuck unless I want to pay too much for a hard to find D2 or Q3. Thus the C2 may be good news for those of us who always kind of wanted the D2/D2+. We'll see about the price. Wish the screen was a bit better an they had stuck with the standard SD card, but battery life and form factor are still great. I like the external speaker for some things.

An 8GB for $100 would be about right imo. I sounds like the 16GB will go for ~$150
