I want to sync to my android phone all of my zune pass music. I can sync what DRM rights i recently acquired (A month's worth, so anything i download today will work for a few weeks and then expire on my droid.) How can i Force Zune to update all the drm so that i can have a month of Music working?
(not even sure if this is possible, but maybe one of you has some magical solution )

I've heard of people putting ZunePass music on PlaysForSure devices, I think.
This could be relevant to you: http://azannah.posterous.com/zuneexe-refreshlicenses tl;dr: try opening the Run dialog and using zune.exe -refreshlicenses

Honestly, if the Zune Team creates an Android app it'd be a win-win for them. Post a thread, throw this out to DaveMac and see if you can plant a seed that will help the Zune actually grow - Android is HUGE!!!

So zune pass songs don't work on non Zune devices? And what happens if you don't connect to the zune software to renew your Zune pass drm'd songs? Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else but I'm kind of curious and thinking about getting myself a little Zunepass action.

Oh, that kind of puts a damper on my plans a bit. But what if you just change the date on the Zune its self would that bypass the problem of having to connect to the marketplace? Because if I was in a place without internet for an extended period of time I could lose all that music that I had downloaded.

No. There isn't any way of getting past the DRM expiration. No legal ways, that is.
If you don't renew the subscription, the songs themselves remain on the player, but if you try to play them, you just get an error message telling you to update the DRM (probably something about reconnect to the Marketplace). |

Sorry. They might have taken the feature out in recent software builds. Not sure what else could work.

To clarify: I pay my zunepass monthly, i will keep doing that, my issue is forcing a refresh.

No, no, I think we were all clear on that. You weren't asking about keeping it after cancelling, I think we've got it.

Music downloaded via ZunePass subscription will play in Windows Media Player. The DRM that protects subscription content (vs. purchased music which is almost entirely DRM-free, and in MP3 format) is standard Windows Media DRM 10.
If you have a device that syncs with WMP, you can also sync your Zune Pass content with it via WMP. I'm not sure if your Android phone is such a device... Cheers, Dave.
