One more rumor for the HD
Hello all,
I've been a lurker on this forum for literally years, and I feel like i know you all already. Also let me start by saying that I absolutely love my Zune. It's an amazing device that does exactly what I want it to. I don't want to start illicit rumors but with everything going on with the rumors and such recently I just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. I work at my local best buy as a sales rep selling digital cameras, mp3 players ect... I was selling a Zune the day when I realized we were all out of 16GB players. I checked our systems and it says that the Zune is discontinued and we would not be getting any more in. Now I know best buy is by no means the greatest electronics retailer in the world, and we don't have the most comprehensive selection either, so take this as you wish. I find it strange that we would stop carrying something like that, if it was still in production. Either way I'm really sad, because I find it so much fun to sell a zune. People are always amazed when you tell them what it can actually do, and for the the price ($100 less than that of an ipod touch for double the space). But I digress... Anyhow I'm not saying that this is the final proof of zune death or anything, just that at least the best buy I work at is not going to carry it anymore.

hmm. I know the best buy near us seems indecisive and sometimes sells them and sometimes doesn't. Maybe they're weeding out the 16 for the 64?

Well different Best Buy's sell there items different than other Best buys. Example I was about to get the Bodom at one in the North side, wasn't available or plans to sell it at that store, but the one in downtown does the complete opposite for that album. Ironically I don't see them stop selling them since they are saying the 64gb is new in their selection on the site.

The BB here has the ZuneHD 32gb on sale for $199.00 in the Sunday advertisements. Right next to it is the Ipod Touch 8gb for $229.00. The Zune has four times the capacity for less. And you know what? They will sell the crap out of the Touch's and the Zune will just fade into obscurity. I like my Zune but am disappointed with the lack of accessories and the support it gets from MS. 'Scuse me but the Zune ecosystem is not new hardware. It is the software and Pass living on in frigin phones. I have a phone. It makes great calls but it doesn't get on the internet and the mp3 player sucks. I like it that way. But who cares what a balding, fat old man likes. I always liked going against the establishment and that is why I support anything not Apple. My children can support 'em. Pleeeease keep the Zune hardware evolving. Dave, if your listening, how do we convince your bosses to keep a good thing going? Did you know Ford was thinking of making a four door mustang but outcry was so strong they never did. Well, apparently they follow the HD, so stay away
 Though, I personally hope I've got a while before I become bald, fat, and old, and it's definitely too late for me to stay away from Zune...

Yeah I don't know any bald fat old men who own a ZuneHD personally. But I don't know any girls who own one either. :P

Well, I'm old, but not bald and I can do sets of 50 pushups, 20 pullups, and 25 dips. I'm still a bit on the "pleasantly plump" side
