i just want to know, is it good enough to upgrade to 3.8, since the new version usually has a lot of bug and stability issue ?
when i try to use 3.8, i've got several random occasion when my Clip+ got freeze. so what is the best choice going to 3.8 or stick to 3.7.1 ?? thanks. Last edited by esgikey; 03-25-2011 at 10:35 AM. |

If you have issues with 3.8, just stick with 3.7.1 for now. AFAIK, a maintenance 3.8.1 release is planned in the near future.

3.8 corrupted my sansa file system in one day of use. 3.7.1 is rock solid.

3.8 is working perfectly fine for me now, fixed my database issue by discovering that some of my files had ID3v2.4 tags, switched them to ID3v2.3, and it worked.

If you're not comfortable installing the "current build", I recommend to stick with 3.7.1 for now and wait for 3.8.1 which will probably be released within in a few weeks. It contains several of bugfixes (no new features). One of the bugs fixed is an annoying hang during database initialisation.

I installed 29662 the other day, and it seems fine. The database builds to completion after content changes, and it ran smoothly for 6.5 hours last night without a hiccup of any sort.
