hey all,
decided on the hje900 over the hippo vb and phonak audeo pfe 112 because of three reasons 1. build quality 2. sound signature to suit my music taste (alternative) 3. the third reason was only valid until i could not find these 'phones for $80 -price if there is somewhere or someone i can buy these off for under even $90, that would be a great help. i live in the UK also.. which may be a problem.. thanks |

They used to be on jr.com but now they're gone. I think your screwed. Maybe search Head-Fi's used section, or post a WTB (want to buy) there.

I found mine on eBay for less than 100$, you just need to search for them.

Look here for a start:
http://anythingbutipod.com/forum/showthread.php?t=15243 I got mine from J&R back in September for 79USD. Had I known exactly how amazing they would be and what would happen to the supply, I would have bought like 2 more pairs... Seriously.

^ Congrats Thunderkiss - Do tell us how you find them!
A fairly reasonable price - I said immediately that though I only paid 79USD for my own pair, I would have gladly shelled out at least twice that and still be delighted. I still stand by that ![]() @james1: +1 with Confispect, given my opinion above...

From what I've heard these are great phones.....shame they're hard to find now
. That was a reason why I decided to go for the VBs over these because of better availability...but now that's not the case, the VBs are out of stock everywhere

Yea, thought I was getting a pair for my birthday, and wound up getting a pair of Pearls or something and an invoice saying that the VBs were in backorder... :/

The HJE900 set me back £199 at the Apple retail store in London
but atleast they are great earphones and they are not fakes unlike the IE8 I bought from my local secondhand shop

It would be hard to fake the Panasonic HJE900.

ive been looking everywhere! cant find em... even head fi's for sale/trade forum didnt give me any options, i couldnt shell out for more than £70. instead i got me some meelectronic a151, got some good reviews plus they have great build quality which is always nice (shame theyre not made of fake diamond though
)i might post a review of them in a week or so, they are pretty damn amazing for their $75 price tag... amazing clarity and, for a BA, not too bad in the bass region either. defnitely a must have for anyone looking for a cheap BA with some warmth. |

^ nice, James1. Congrats! Do post a review and include pics! We love reviews from owners here.
As for the Panas...yeah. I talk them up constantly, prolly to the point of nausea, but to me they really are that good. We can all hope they noticed a tiny spike in sales over the last 6 months or so and Panasonic comes to their senses with more HJE900s or somehow, new and improved HJE900s [though I wouldn't change much beyond better stock tips and a slightly longer cord]. Keep looking though on the interwebs - and like I said, even used, in the right condition and buyer, I would prolly pay as much as 125-150USD. <dammit! shoulda bought 3 pairs from J&R at 79USD each...>

Interesting that you did not go for those ceramic MEEs. They certainly look more like the HJE900s.

thanks lestatar, i will post with many pics as they tell a better story about the look etc instead of me rambling on XD and yes... i hope that they do release some kind of sequel, it would be most interesting... i will continue to look on the interwebs - hopefully ill strike lucky!
the larch - yes, i know, i thought about the cc51's... but they were a tad more expensive, and i prefer over the ear. plus the a151 have better durability (so im told). the a151 im am very pleased with, quite the bargain i must say. |
