Tag issues with FLAC

I've done extensive googling on the matter, but I can't seem to fix this problem:

I have a fair few FLAC files of classical music (tagged as such). The problem is that the player often shows the 'artist' field as 'Unknown'.
On my PC, I have composers tagged as such, but when transferring the tracks onto my S9, I change the tag to 'artist'.
Oddly enough, this only happens when the tracks are tagged as 'classical'. It does not happen with any other FLAC files...

Any ideas?

Suggest you download, install and check/redo your tags with mp3tag...

That's what I use currently for all my tagging.

This is going to sound very strange...

Moments after my first post, I opened by player in Cowon's software (JetAudio) and browsed a little.
Before that, I deleted the param.cfg file.
Upon restarting my player, all the tags now display correctly.

... WTF?

hmmm, indeed a WTF moment...Well, all's well that ends well. Musta been gremlins
