This must mean Microsoft doesn't care about Zune anymore and is going to discontinue it.

I noticed this also. I downloaded Messenger once, and "Messenger" appeared in the "M" area of the apps. I deleted it, realized I could use it, and when I reinstalled the app, it appeared at the end as "Windows Live Messenger."

The first time I downloaded it, I did it through the computer. The second time was directly from the device. I wonder if this makes a difference, as I'm too lazy to try it right now.

Hi all, new to the community here. I think the names are different maybe to make the download faster when downloading right onto the ZuneHD. But just a guess, and I had the same thing happen to me.

Eddie - I'm not sure what you're showing here. Did you update the app and now have two copies each with different names?
