As you can see in the forums, J3's most common issues are the Gorilla Glass coming off, or something loose inside. I had this last problem, that turned out to be a loose battery. Both glass and battery are attached with double surface tape. I just had to press firmly on the battery for it to stay in place.

i actually think that it may be worse if you open it. that may allow dust into the screen. Through some short experiments, i found the loose object (battery) to shake more when it is completely drained, and very little when fully charged. could this be because when the battery swells up when its full, thus making it not shake?

Double sticky tape? Seriously? They couldn't afford velcro?

Night Surfer, velcro is thick.
Many thanks Gerzio, for disassembly instructions. I was very curious about battery size and aspect, for a possible replacement in the future. |
