Default Zune Partners with Children of Bodom?

New Bodom album coming soon, and the site set up to promote the album has blatant Zune advertising ... odd...

Great. I love COB. Though Are you dead yet was a pretty mediocre album in my opinion. But I'm looking forward to the new album. The song Ugly reminds me of their Hatecrew Deathroll days. If the Album is worth it I'm going to get the CD anyway. If it is another AYDY then I'll pass and just pick up the new Obscura. I highly recommend this band if you love a mix of classical, euro, black metal, melodic death metal, and power metal.....aww screw subsubgenres, it just a good metal band with a ton of euro elements and amazing musicianship. Also great if you wan't to get into the extreme side of metal.

I disagree with you about AYDY, I very much like this album, though it is certainly is a departure from Hatebreeder, FTR and Hatecrew Deathroll. Follow the Reaper remains my favorite.

Have already heard the new track off of Omnivium, and still listen to Cosmogenesis frequently. Brilliant stuff.

Lots of good stuff coming out this year. I see you are into death metal. Check out the brand new Neuraxis album Asylon. As of now, I am obsessed with the latter and the newly released (today) Darkest Hour album The Human Romance.

Anyway, this has nothing to do with the original thread, sorry.

AYDY has some ok songs but Blooddrunk was a redeemer for me imo.
You forgot Morbid Angel and Amon Amarth. Also can't wait for the new cannibal corpse dvd thats coming in a couple of weeks.

....Now when will that new Necrophagist come out

Not a huge fan of CC. In fact, I generally prefer the melodic side of death metal, the Scandinavian influenced stuff is my obsession. That new Amon Amarth sounds like it should be awesome. Also, if you're into virtuoso thrash, I highly recommend the new Sylosis album Edge of the Earth, coming out soon. That one is shaping up to be an instant classic it seems.

Haven't gotten the chance to listen to Sylosis, but I'm pretty sure you heard of Ensiferum

Hey hey some metal heads here... Right on \m/ haven't listened to much of Children of Bodom but this thread just reminded me to go out and get Follow the Reaper! I kept forgetting haha. But yea, I'm with glove here, Cannibal Corpse just never quite got me.

AAAAANYWAY, good to see Zune getting some love in the metal world.

For some reason, the ZHD has always struck me as the quintessential PMP for metal. Maybe its the all black, which contrasts nicely with the album view, where all the amazing metal album art really sticks out. Its all in my head, I know.

Eh it is brutal and you need brutal vocals for brutal/slasher film lyrics. Also the main reason why I love CC is because of the musicianship. All have top notch players(except the drummer but he is one of the original members). Look up a vid of them playing live or them in the studio. It made me go into a guitar depression after watching it. Thats what you get when one of your guitarists played in Nevermore with Alex Webster(fantastic bass player, best in death metal). Also if you listen closely to the vocals you can understand him without having a lyrics sheet, plus the extremely fast and complex vocal patterns that seem hard to even follow when reading the lyrics(if your not a fast reader). But hey CC is not really a band that would get anybody into metal with.
