LCD Burn-in possible problems?

My dad wants to use my Zune 120 or buy a refurbished Zune 30 from Dealextreme, or find something that can have a dock. He would use it as a bookshelf player; it would always be on its dock, plugged in and played through a big acoustic guitar amp we have sitting at home.

He loves it, he thinks the radio reception is awesome, and the LCD screen is plenty large. I don't want to spoil the good impression he got, but I have one concern: Docked, the Zune has its LCD screen on all the time, even if the backlight is off. I know the player will sit for days unemployed, stuck at the last played song, showing the album cover of a Bryan Adams CD.

Is there a possibility that there would be burn-in on the LCD screen after a couple of days? It would kindof suck to have Bryan adams there for ever.

If you mean something like this one, it's probably not refurbished but a counterfeit/fake one. "Designer" usually means "fake" on DX, otherwise they would state the Zune brand in the title.

Those 3 old Zune 30 have been confirmed as genuine (but refurbished).
I would not buy a Designer's brand mp3 player, that would be horrible.

Its not going to be portable, so the thickness of the player is not relevant, and 30Gb will be more than enough. Worst case scenario, the refurbished Zune is DOA, we return it, I give him my Zune 120. Is there a big chance of the Zune 30 being defective?
Is screen burn-in possible?
