samsung r0 sleep setting?

whats the best to have this setting on
one person on amazon said the player doesnt turn off only goes to sleep so the battery runs down quicker

i haven't yet used the "sleep" funtion.
but i can confirm, that power drain is higher in case you just let it go of
by itself (ie. listening to an audiobook folder or a music album.)

what really puzzles me is, that this is not always the case.
sometimes the r0 has plenty of juice left after, lets say 24 hours, sometimes the battery is depleted. in all cases i just let the player
finish the folder and go of by itself. (usually have falling asleep.... )

sounds contradictory?
