Hello I have a issue with FM radio . The device was always freezing when I tried to start the Radio . So I restarted the device to factory setting . After the restarting the device was in Japanese language . That was not a problem because I automatically changed the language into English . The radio was again working but , the frequency range is only 70-90 Mhz + TV1-3 . Is there any solution to get the frequency over 90 to 108 MHz ?
Thanks |

Question, have you ever entered the service menu of your device? or is this your first reset that you have ever done?

hmm, this seems to be the issue with most users who enter the service menu and then reset the player, the radio frequencies go only up to 90

As far as I know, there is not, but no one really replied in the thread where this happened, so I suggest you go to sony or where you bought it and get a replacement, just state you reset it after it froze, and this is what happened.

I have the Sony E354 (just bought it a couple of weeks ago) and it is freezing up when trying to enter FM. Don't know about the frequencies, as I can't get into FM, even after reset..... Guess this baby has to go back???

O-K, I was told by tech support to reset the player, and then do a reformat.....
It stopped the FM freezing problem..... .....but after doing so, the FM band had reverted to the Japanese frequency range of 76-90Mhz! Had to exchange my player for a new one. I have a feeling that reinstalling the firmware would correct the frequency range problem. If you can do a reset and then reformat, and fix the freezing, but experience the freq. problem, maybe you could find someone with a working 455 who would copy their FW and send it to you? I copied my E354 FW- and you are welcome to it, but I don't know if the FW is the same across all E-series players, or if it is specific to each model.....
