cowon j3 or wait for the d3?

hey im new to ABI. Do u guys think if i should go ahead and buy the j3, or if i should wait for the d3? my budget is around $200.

The D3 is Cowons first attempt at an android device. Frankly I'd wait until their second shot. The J3 is the best non-WiFi media device on the market right now.

well... if your budget is around $200 i would definitely go for the J3.
the D3 will break $200 easily.
i'd say the 8 GB version might cost $220 maybe more. if however, the unlikely happens and they cut prices (which i highly doubt) and the D3 lands in $200 area... i still would go for the J3.

i mean, basically the J3 is a pmp and nothing else but it also offers close to 60 hours of music play time. that's the killer argument. that and the sluggishness of the D3.


if price was decent and battery life as well, i would say go for the D3, but seeing the videos and "reviews" i say it's not worth it. if they get their act together in a few weeks and months you would still be stuck with a player that wants to be a ipod touch/galacy player but has some terrible shortcomings.

I received my J3 a couple of days ago. So far it's pure bliss, with FLAC files, panasonic re-hje900's and the Aero now-playing-theme. Oh, and the EQ setting from mdwrigth1032:

Wide,Normal,Narrow, Normal,Wide
BBE+:
BBE: 10
Mach3Bass: 6
3D Surround: 3

SE Enhance: On
Reverb: Off
