Default Basic Question

Hi All,

Received my J3 yesterday and I'm still fumbling my way around it. Question: how do get to the screen shown on page 18 in the manual? I've tried every combination of keys I can find.

Thanks!
Dale

just tap the bar that shows the music title and more symbols will drop down.

You're looking at the "portrait mode Player". It's playing a music track and displaying the album art for that track (either imbedded in the tag of that music file, or from "cover.jpg" in the folder in which that music file lives.

From the main menu (after you power on the J3) tap the MUSIC icon (upper-left icon shown on page 15). This will take you next into the tag-browser, that will allow you to browse your music collection by the fields in the tags in music files (MP3, FLAC, APE) discovered at boot time. For example, you can browse by [Artist], [Genre], [Year], [Album], [Songs], etc.. Or, you can select [Folders] and navigate down through your folders, just like using Windows Explorer.

Alternatively, you can tap the BROWSER icon on the main menu (on page 15). This is really identical to selecting the [Folders] item at the top of the list reached when you tap MUSIC.

Keep tapping, "drilling down" as you want, until you finally get to an album folder or inside that to reveal the tracks in that folder. Then just tap any of those tracks and the "portrait mode player" will start. Page 18.
