Online Zune Apps...sorta

I remember someone else working on some web based Zune Apps, but I can't remember where, anyway I thought I would give it a try. Most of them are rather useless and stupid, cause well, my programming skills suck. Was suppose to just be a personal web app portal thing, but I find it to be rather useful. And yes, I'm to cheap to buy a domain name

Looks pretty good. Just so you know, z.t03.us is the site you were referencing. Personally, I like yours more, but the features are pretty par with each other.

Why did you bother adding a favicon and a:hover effects? None of these are relevant in Zune. What you do need is a:active effects.

I designed it and tested it on my computer, I guess its habit I didn't put a favicon on the page though, must be a result of being a subdirectory. Added a:active effect though, thanks for pointing that out.

Also, made a simple tip calculator in the other section, nothing super special, but its fairly functional.

Added a txt uploader and the files can be viewed from the zune. I can finally read some of my ebooks on the go

the index spelling error is fixed too...my engrwish is awesome!

Not a bad start. Hopefully you have better luck at it. I was helping with the other version before it kinda just stopped. Ill send you when I had, and you can do with it what you want. Its not so much functional as it was a redesign, it was still a bit buggy when I last worked on it.

This is very nice. Well done.

So I tested out the notepad function with a random account and I first have to compliment you on giving the option for multiple notes. But, when I try to edit it, the screen goes white with the message "Unknown column 'dogs' in 'where clause'" "Dogs" would be the username. Is there something wrong?

yes, something is wrong, I'll have to get back to you on the fix

edit: Fixed the problem. Thats the thing I hate about coding, you miss a single quotation mark and the entire script gets mess up.

I remember when I was programming a theme for Rockbox, I missed, I think one letter and that messed up the entire code. Anyway, I like your fast response and fix. More people need to be like you sometimes.

Complete moron when it comes to Zune HD Apps as I just got it a couple weeks ago.

Is this just an online app to point your Zune Web Browser to and use it online, or is there a way to put it on your player? If you upload text files, can you download them to your Zune to read them...or only read them through the web browser?

If there's an FAQ somewhere for morons like me, please just point me to it and I'll read up myself

This is just an online thing. And there isn't any way for the ZuneHD to download things - anything - from the browser. If you want to be able to read them later, you could hold down your finger and select "Save page" or something like that when it pops up. That page will then be saved as a jpeg in your pictures on the device, and it might have high enough quality that you could read it that way.

Sorry, I've been gone awhile, been really busy. Anyway, I added a simple to-do list, although I suppose the notepad could have been used for such.
