Default Pairing J3 with car stereo

I have just got my J3 & have tried to pair it with the stereo in my car (2010 Ford Mondeo). Both units detect each other & stereo gives me a code to enter but once I do after a while 'pairing failed' appears then 'cowon J3' appears on the stereo display, so it knows it's there & what it is. Any help useful to a technophobe would be appreciated

Through Bluetooth you mean? I did pair my J3 with the small stereo system at home and had some problems understanding how to proceed as well. The issue seemed to be that I didn't know the code that I needed to enter on the stereo system, but I found out by pressing on that icon with 4 squares to the left in the bluetooth settings on the J3. Do you already know the code you need to enter? Or does it just fail to pair no matter what?

Yes I meant by bluetooth, I have entered the code on the J3 that my car stereo has given me but it just comes up 'pairing failed'. They both detect each other but I can't get them to pair
