Thankfully, even if it does turn out to be a battery hog, that's still OK with me, since I use mine mostly at home, where the wi-fi and AC power are. But I can certainly understand why you guys with iPhones instead of Touches would be leery of extra battery drain.

I've also experienced a couple of random freezes while multi-tasking, I dunno, still sounds good though , guess its something for me to use when I can't do anything else (no internet, etc.)

I just looked at the otterbox defender for the 4G Touch, and it does look great....it'll cost about $40 after tax, but once my tax refund comes in, I do think I will order it. Until then, my cheapo skin and screenshield will suffice, along with me leaving the player home.

My pops got the commuter(iphone4), it's really solid and adds some security from dropping and a nice grip as well. When i upgrade to the iphone 5 whenever that comes out i will probably go for an otterbox again, they are pretty damn solid.

I have their Defender case for my Captivate. Great phone and a really nice case. I ordered mine from Amazon for only 30 dollars.

So the Portapros I just got really work well with the Touch. I've been running through a bunch of my personal reference tunes tonight, on shuffle, with EQ disabled, because it's not needed!

I'm still glad to have the EQu and Equalizer apps though...so literally any headphone I use will work.

That's cool...honestly though I haven't found EQu to be that good, I just don't like it as much as the RB EQ. My Pioneers sound too bright on the Touch for me, but if I adjuts the RB EQ, they sound just right. The JVC Flats still work perfectly with the touch, and the CX500s work good too, though. I just won't be using my Pioneers with my Touch.

You're missing out then. It takes more work than just adjusting Bass and Treble like you are doing with Rockbox. Trust me, I took the time to make and save a setting in EQu for the Pioneers, and they are slamming with it!

lol, i guess you're right, but the RB EQ is actually easier to understand than EQu, and now when I actually took the time to give the actual EQ in RB a try instead of just bass and treble tweaks, it sounds much better. I guess I just have to give EQu a little more time.
