Sony Hybrid tips don't fit Sennheiser CX300/500?

Hey all,

So I just received my Sony hybrid tips today....and unfortunately I cannot get them to fit any of my Sennheiser earbuds . I was really looking forward to these, looking forward to possibly being able to use IEM's again, but they simply do not fit. I cannot get the colored part on the earbud, its too skinny. Has anyone had success at getting these on? If so, then how? I don't want to buy another pair of IEM's but I will if i have to.

I was able to put my Sony Hybrid on my dead EP630 (basically the same as CX300) in 1 second (not lying!). It just takes a bit practise I guess! Keep trying, but I can't really tell you how to insert them... I find it harder to remove them tbh!

Thanks for the reply! I've got good news and bad news...

The good news:
I got them on!

The bad news:
One of the large tips broke on me already, I only have one large tip.

Because of the broken large tip I decided to use the medium on the right side and large on the left and that is working fine.

These tips are working perfectly. They block out more noise on my CX500's, and make them sound better. Most importantly, they fit and are comfortable ! I may go back to using IEM's for traveling, and because these are working great, I see no reason to buy a new set of IEM's. They also add more style to my earbuds...the tips are black while the actual earbuds are white !

So are you going to wear them, or actually stick them in your ears? Cause nobody will see the tips when they are in your ear.

I use a white tip on the right earpiece (white is right), and black on the left. Makes it easy to tell them apart.

lol...yeah i guess you're right, nobody will actually see that when i'm wearing them ! I would have gotten the white tips instead, except they cost more money for some strange reason...and yeah, it'd be nice to have some way to tell them apart, but i guess i don't really mind. Still pisses me off that one of them broke already...even though that doesn't change anything since i use a medium on one side lol
