Does anyone know of any program that can be used to recover files from a Zen Vision W? I accidently did a Cleanup from the Recovery menu. Lost over 30gb of movies, pictures, music and documents.......
Any help would be extremely appreciated!

A primary rule in HDD data recover is: don't use the drive to write any more data prior to trying to recover stuff.
I have no clue if you can get stuff back in this case. There are PC HDD file recovery utilities that work with varying degrees of success. A small one that seems to be OK is Recuva from the makers of CrapCleaner, Piriform. Free, small and decent to get stuff back on HDDs where the relevant data sectors haven't been overwritten. Again, no idea if it will work for you in this case. Also, I your Vision needs to be seen by Windows as a drive I believe for Recuva or any software to try and work. Google says: http://www.google.com.hk/search?hl=e...=&oq=&gs_rfai= Other than paying ridiculous amounts of money to professional data recovery specialists, you might be hosed. Wish you luck man - and this is no help, but...you should have that stuff stored locally as well! ![]() cheers, -les

I have done this for many many people. just put the working drive into a working player. Hook it up to your pc and you have your files back.
I have made deals with people to do just that for them. No money just trade. PM me if you are interested. |
