No idea when, the writing team from the first season has been let go and Darabont is going to hire a whole new writing staff for season 2, so nothing is written or anything.

I can't wait though, and i hope the next season will be better and move more toward the actual story line.

season 2 will be aired about October 2011

Walking Dead Season 1 Finale Aired on AMC December 5, But it Appears Fans May Have to Wait a While For Season 2

It has not been officially announced, but at the time of publication Walking Dead season 1 DVD has a tentative release date of March 8 2011.

As for Walking Dead season 2 however, it seems that it may not air on AMC until next year's FearFest, meaning October 2011.

This was the horror movie marathon in which AMC first premiered the popular zombie series, so they naturally assume it will have the same success for the following season. However, it just seems a really long time to wait for season 2 and most will no doubt have forgotten the storyline of season 1 by the time next year's Halloween rolls around.

Hopefully they will bring the release date up to next summer at least, but with so many fans of the show, they are still likely to garner high ratings no matter when season 2 will air.

first episode comes this sunday!!! so it would be out to download on monday at the pirate bay (for crappy torrent users) or on usenet. It's a great series IMO.... Love zombies!

I will be recording it in nice HD. The last season looked really good in HD, better than a lot of shows on TV now.
