Default USB Charging?

I have a Sansa e280v2 (running Rockbox 3.7.1 with the most recent bootloader) and I am having some trouble with charging through USB.

Let me provide some background. The other day I made myself a USB Charger for my car (Which works very nicely!). I want to be able to use "Car Adapter Mode" to turn on and off my music while in my car.

Turning music off works just great, but when the player starts to receive power, it momentarily thinks that it is plugged into a computer before it corrects itself. After this, it does not begin music playback. This exact same thing happens if I plug it into a wall charger.

Is there any way to force it to not go into USB Disc mode? (I might try turning off USB HID...) Is this a bug that I should report to the Rockbox team?

Thanks in advance.

Is this when the player is off and you plug it in, or when its on and you plug it in?

It doesn't seem to matter whether the player is on or off when I plug it in.

Sorry, just noticed you said e200v2. I don't think theres anyway to avoid that with the v2 right now. You could go ask in IRC during the day in Europe and see if anyone knows why the v2 gets briefly fooled by AC adapters.

Ok, I appreciate your help. I might live with it for a week or two and then decide whether it's worth asking in IRC...

Thanks. I was filling up my Sansa, and I thought "I wonder if there has been a post here..." so I checked it out. As soon as rsync finishes copying my music, I'll upgrade to the most recent commit in SVN.
