More current Fuze dock info requested...

All: Am posting this on behalf of new ABi member Julia who, ATM, is having login issues.

She has a Fuze. Wants to know if there are any docks with a clock, alarm, etc kind of thing that will work with it - needs it to wake up to.

Prelim research from me online at Sandisk and here seems to indicate that this will work:

lestatar, per the amazon product description that Altec Lansing inMotion iM413 Portable Audio System that you linked is made for the Sansa e200 series, Sansa c200 series, and Sansa Connect. I believe the body of the fuze is wider than those models and won't work in that dock.

WalkGood, I had one. There's room enough for the Fuze to fit but there's no dock adapter. It wobbles a bit but it works fine.

All of those work with any of the Sansas with the proprietary cable. Theres not much if anything else available. I had this one. Very good and the most full featured of all the Sansa docks. If I needed one it's the one I would get.

Thanks WG, you're right...But seems folks on the Sandisk forum and the link here indicate the i413 works with the Fuze... Am confused myself now!

Thus, looking for info/recent confirmation for poor Julia, who cannot login lol

I just found an old email password while cleaning. So now I can (finally) post to forums! My confirmation email got confused on my original email. Somehow.

I'm going to be buying the iM413 as soon as someone buys my ipod touch. I've owned it for less than a week now, and got it from craigslist to begin with for $150. Hopefully I can sell it for more. Someone already offered a $380 signed jersey of some sort and apologized when I said I preferred lip gloss and Warcrack

I have the Fuze and the original production Altec Lansing iM413 but I am unaware of any wake up function of either the Fuze or iM413... am I missing something? I thought the wake up function was what the original post was wanting...

The older iM413 units are really great and I confirm that they do work with the Fuze, but I don't know about the build quality of the newer production batch apparently now available again... Can anyone comment on the build quality of these new production iM413's? Do they have a wake up function?

I dunno...I think Julia was looking for a dock solution as an alarm clock. I _think_ i have come across threads in forums which seemed to indicate this was possible.

Also, no idea about Fuze original FW anymore - been months since I even seen it.

The altec lansing iM413 is no longer available...no longer being produced and no replacement in the works! Spoke with altec lansing and this is what they told me. Spoke with Sansa people and they also have nothing and won't provide any information about any product but Sansa...anybody have any ideas? I know I can run it through my computer but I am looking for portability.

This sucks and does appear to be true. I spent a few minutes snooping online. Hits for the iM413 come back, but no one seems to have it in stock. AltecLansing still has it on their site, available, but with a price of 0.00USD.

This is indeed a shame - it seemed like quite a decent piece of gear by all accounts I have read.

These are in stock, I do not know for how long. There is also a cable to make an Ipod dock universal. I have found mine Ok but a bit unreliable.
